We did the Cho La Pass in May. I am interested in knowing more about the reddish formation in your picture. Do you know anything about it? I have a similar pic–teach geology but can’t seem to find any info about it.
Hi Debra, I did notice the red and thought it was interesting but have no idea how it came about in geological terms. Once at that part I just wanted to get over it and safely to Dzongla. We went anticlockwise. How was it in May? I have read this year April May was really cold along the EBC trail region. Louise
