Kathmandu Shops and Signs

Thamel in Kathmandu is a bit like the scene in Alice in Wonderland where there are signs everywhere and you still don’t know where to go. A present for Mark from This Amazing Planet

The wires got us every time, they looked so haphazard but seemed to be quite normal.

Yes I know what you mean. I remember Vietnam having similar wires. Trouble with the ones in Kathmandu is some of them seemed very low!

Definitely a mad hatter in there. It is crazy when there is lots of traffic through these narrow lane ways. Sadly it was quiet with not many tourists due to the quakes.

I ended up staying in the Kathmandu guest house. Have you heard of it? It was great. Its got quite a history also.

Yes I know it, We stayed not far from there. We had meal there in 2013 which was lovely. That area of the hotel was totally destroyed by the quake. They obviously had rebuilding and fixing up to do and it is two years again since we were there. Good to hear you enjoyed it.
