  1. Yes. My husband and have done the Camino twice before. In 2010, when we were still working, we did one of the final sections from Tui, Portugal to Santiago (eight days). Last summer we did one of the first sections from St. Jean de Port, France to Najera, Spain (also eight days). This summer we plan to hike from where we left off in Najera to Santiago and then on to Finisterre. Both routes together equal about. 650 K … so likely thirty walking days…give or take.
If you are interested, you can read more about our Camino experience on my blog. (Just type ‘Camino’ in the search bar, or click on ‘Camino’ in ‘Categories’).
If you decide to go, I think that you will LOVE it. We certainly have!
Please do not hesitate to let me know if you have any questions that I can help answer for you.

  2. Your blog brings back great memories for me. In 1982 I signed up with an adventure travel outfit. We started the trek outside of Kathmandu. We ended up at Kala Patar, in the Khumbu glacier region. It was the most adventurous thing I’ve done in my life.

    Take care —
